My
love for threesomes and foursomes catapulted my career into radio.
I was sneaking into what I thought was a threesome, that actually
became a foursome. The addition of myself created a fivesome! In
the land of milk and honey, this is great. On a San Diego golf
course being sneaked upon ....not so great. It just so happened
that I landed in the golf cart of a nationally syndicated talk
show host. He was impressed with my gift of gab, (fighting off the
marshal) my golf game, (I fired an even par 72) and my ability to
twist up a fatty!
Since
the days of Southern Cali golf and green, I've worked in Los
Angeles on the nationally syndicated "Ferrall on the
Bench." Then it was off to the Big Apple where I worked at
powerhouse WFAN. Then I lived every sports fan's dream working
from the top of Madison Square Garden at ESPN Radio. After
exposure to the cowardly acts of 9-11, I elected to shift gears
and head into FM radio becoming the producer of the morning show
on the infamous WNEW. During my tenure in New York City, I was
witness to two of the biggest disasters in the history of mankind:
the aforementioned September 11th terrorist attacks, and the
departure of the radio greats Opie and Anthony. I was part of the
housecleaning that WNEW was required to induce. I then landed on
my feet at the #1 station in the #1 market...Hot 97 (WQHT) I was
producing a syndicated Hip Hop show hosted by The Source magazine
prez/rapper Benzino and CEO Dave Mays. (I went from rappin with
Derek Jeter and Michael Jordan to doing interviews with Jay-Z and
Nelly)
I
have graciously landed back in the Puget Sound, where my beautiful
wife and I grew up. There's no place like home. Plus
Seattle is the Amsterdam of the U.S.A. *cough* *cough* Great
greenery!
It
has become my destiny to work with the one and only BJ SHEA!
So
consider my life complete.
